The Integrated Planning and Budget Process continues with the development of Unit Alignment Plans.... The priorities established through this process along with the resource requirements worksheets are used to prioritize funding requests in the Budget Development Process.
Budget Development is the process by which resources from all funding sources are allocated throughout the University. This process includes the setting of tuition rates and all University fees. While the Budget Office manages budget development and resource allofcations from a campus-wide perspective, the responsibility for developing the details of the institutional budget is shared between the Budget Office, central administration, and individual units. Once the Budget has been approved along with tuition rates and all University fees, the Annual Budget Document is prepared and published along with the Schedule of Fees and Service Charges and approved Tuition Schedule.
Budget Management and Progress Reporting include the tools and processes utilized to manage the budget as well as track the implementation of Unit Alignment Plans. Progress is reported on a quarterly basis and resources are managed to ensure the most efficient use of University resources based on this progress.
Finally, the results of our work is reported through.....Budget information and analysis is performed through budget development and management to ensure the efficient use of University resources in alignment with the University Business Plan.
